Google Applications for Education

This year all grade 4 students in my class are becoming familiar with using google applications. Google drive allows students to save all of their information online and allows them to access their work using any device. Students can access their work at home and at school. Students will commonly use google docs to publish and edit their writing. They are able to use speech to text software to assist them in the writing process. Students are becoming familiar with editing their work and using an online thesaurus. As well, the students in my class will use google slides to create presentations. They are able to insert images, videos, and change the layout as they desire. Students will commonly give presentations to the class using google slides. Furthermore, we use google sheets to collect data in math class. This application helps students organize their data and see commonalities in their results. These applications help students in my class organize their work and access their work using any piece of technology.
